PSI Masquearde DW

Guide

Please play the tutorial to learn the basic controls. This page covers information not fully explained in the tutorial. You can also check the green "?" buttons throughout the game for additional guidance.

Explanation of Player Stats

HP
Your life force. It decreases when you take damage, and you die when it reaches zero. In DW mode, it slowly recovers while walking.
PP
Psychic Points. This represents the mental energy required to use abilities in versus modes.
FP
Fullness Points. This indicates your hunger level in DW mode. When FP reaches zero, your movement speed slows down, your attack power drops, and you no longer recover HP while walking. You can restore FP by using food items.
STR
The character's base attack power when not equipped with any weapons.
ATK
Your actual attack power, calculated by adding STR and your weapon's attack power.
DEF
Defense provided by your equipped shield. The higher it is, the more damage you can reduce. If you're attacked from behind, it only provides half its normal effectiveness as a reflexive guard.
LP
Luna Points. This indicates the amount of Luna Element absorbed in DW mode. As it accumulates, you level up and become stronger.
Worth
A form of energy used like currency in DW mode. You can use it to buy and sell items within DW mode.
Revival Point
The number of times you can revive yourself after dying in DW offline mode. In online mode, you cannot revive on your own―another player must crouch near you for a while to bring you back.

Explanation of Weapon and Shield Stats

You can view item descriptions by double-tapping the item icon on the right side of the screen. If you're using a gamepad, select the icon with the right stick, then hold R1 and press R2.
Attack
The weapon's attack power. Your final ATK is calculated by adding this value to the player's STR.
Defense
The shield's defense power.
Durability
After this number of uses―attacking with a weapon or blocking with a shield―its attack (or defense) power decreases by 10%.
For example, a weapon with 100 attack and 10 durability will drop to 90 attack after 10 uses.
In DW mode, attack and defense power are restored when moving to a new layer.
Realm scaling
Attack and defense modifiers based on the current world. In Transrealm Masquerade, the "Human" value is used for scaling.
Element
A special effect attached to the weapon. By using the "Arcana of Fusion," you can add an element from another weapon (the fused weapon will be lost in the process).

About Companions

Companions are enemy characters you can befriend in other worlds.
When their HP is reduced to less than half, throw an "Arcana of Amity" at them to recruit them.
Once befriended, you can summon them anytime at the Tavern in DW mode.
To bring them into Transrealm Masquerade, set them from the Equipment & Companion Settings on the lobby screen.
The number of companions you can bring varies by mode:
  • Transrealm Masquerade: 1 companion
  • DW Offline Mode: 2 companions
  • DW Online Mode: 1 companion

Equipment and Companions You Can Bring into Transrealm Masquerade

In DW mode, you can bring companions befriended with the Arcana of Amity and equipment saved using the Arcana of Imprint into Transrealm Masquerade.

How to Cooperate

In Versus Mode with Co-op Mode turned on, you can team up with other players. While cooperating, your attacks won't hit each other.

How to Use Co-op Mode

Tap the (1) "Speak" icon on the right side of the screen to open the window, then press the (2) "Request Co-op" button on the left side to call for cooperation on the spot.
To cooperate with a player who is requesting co-op, get close to them and keep them in your line of sight.
When you're close enough, a "Co-op" button will appear at the bottom of the screen―press it to begin cooperating.

In rooms with Final Co-op enabled, both players can escape together if they survive until the end while cooperating.
In rooms without Final Co-op, the last two players will have to fight each other.

About Silver Tokens

Silver Tokens can be earned by playing three matches a day or based on your weekly ranking.
From the "Store" at the top right of the lobby screen, you can use Silver Tokens to buy items such as Mutation Medicine or unlock a Favorite Ability.

About Favorite Abilities

You can unlock and set a Favorite Ability using Silver Tokens. The setting lasts for one week, after which it will be locked again. While set, your chances of getting that ability in matches will increase.

Gamepad Controls (PC Version)

When playing versus matches or DW mode using a gamepad, icons representing the button layout shown below will appear on-screen. Press the corresponding button to perform actions.
  • In tutorial mode, the displayed control instructions change depending on whether you're using a gamepad or mouse + keyboard.
  • On the lobby screen, control the cursor using the left stick.
  • During versus or DW mode, control your character with the left stick and move the cursor with the right stick.
  • The button labeled functions as the confirm button.

Tips for Conquering Deadly Wonderland

  • If the items sold by the Elf Peddler are too expensive, you might be able to afford them by selling your own items.
  • Alternatively, if you have Worth already imprinted, you can withdraw it from Jarabee on the spot and use it.
  • After a game over, you may be able to imprint some of your Worth or equipment if you're lucky.
  • When overwhelmed by enemies, the Arcana of Toxic Mist and Arcana of Combustion can be especially useful.
  • From around the Spring of Rest onward, the difficulty increases—having a companion is highly recommended.
